They call the packet as a lump sum payment. For your information, from 8-19 Dec 2008, the Australian Govt will provide lump sum payments as part of the economic security strategy, in response to the global financial crisis. Then you will be entitled to a lump sum payment if you eligible to get it. So, who is the eligible person? There are so various, which are age pension, disability support pension, carer payment, wife/widow B pension, veteran’s income support supplement, senior holding health card, parenting payment/special benefit and family tax benefit part A (low income family).
Yup, they will be receiving $ 1400 for single or 1050 for each (for pension) and $ 1000 each child per family. That’s a nice packet, isn’t it? What a wonderful gift to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Yup, you’re correct; this is the stimulus from govt to make people keep spending money on a crisis era. They hope people will using the bonus for spending, but regarding to the tight era this time (loan, mortgage, high living cost) many receivers say will save the money to help their financial problem. So, finally the gift won’t flowing to the market, but some will ended to the bank. People getting smart this time! For everyone just enjoying the gift and lucky you who get it this time….and me…still optimistic someone will give me the other present! Ha ha ha….
